Established in 2023, Heartland Farms Event Center sits on 60 acres of rolling pastureland in Monroe, GA. We are a family-owned and operated wedding and event venue near Athens, GA featuring a farmhouse cottage, elegant courtyard and reception room, inviting gazebo, woodland sanctuary and wedding tree with scenic views of the countryside with mature oaks and pine trees, and horses grazing in nearby fields.

What does the rental fee include?

Our Wedding Package includes:

Up to 15 hours on the property, starting at 9 am and with the gates closing at midnight
One 7-foot arch
Easel
Farmhouse cottage (includes bride's room on the main and groom's suite upstairs)
Reception Room
Prep Room
Gazebo
Fire pit
Courtyard, Wedding Tree or Woodland Sanctuary
Set up & take down of our tables and chairs/church pews for your event
4-hour time slot for wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the week of the wedding

What is the payment schedule to rent the venue?

Weddings & Events

To secure your date, 1/2 of your contract fee is due when you sign the contract. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the event.
If serving alcohol, 1 security officer is required/100 people. We will arrange for the security officer(s) for your event for an additional fee of $65/officer per hour.
Proof of event insurance is required 30 days prior to the event.
All payments are non-refundable.

What is the max capacity for the venue?

The maximum capacity seating for the courtyard and reception room is 200 guests.

How do we handle clean-up?

We expect that at the end of the event, you will collect and bag all trash and put in the designated area. Please clean up all spills and remove any personal items/decorations. Heartland Farms Event Center staff will be responsible for take-down of our tables and chairs and trash bag removal.

Can we have a rehearsal prior to the day of the event?

Yes. Our wedding packages include access for up to a 4-hour block of time for a wedding rehearsal and/or rehearsal dinner the week of your wedding.

Do you permit alcohol to be served?

Yes, we allow beer/wine/champagne to be served at our wedding venue in Monroe, GA, provided that a licensed and insured bartender distributes all alcoholic beverages. No liquor is allowed. A Walton County police officer(s) is required to be present if alcoholic beverages are served at $65/hour per officer. One officer is required per 100 people. 4-hour minimum.

Do I need to make an appointment to tour the venue?

We require an appointment to access and tour the property as well as answer any questions you may have. Please contact us to set up a time for a tour. We would love to meet with you to learn about your vision for your special day and show you what all Heartland Farms has to offer.

How many cars can you accommodate in the parking area?

Parking is available adjacent to the farmhouse cottage and will accommodate 200 vehicles, including 8 reserved accessible parking spaces.

How do we handle the catering?

You may have the caterer of your choice provided they are properly licensed and insured. Food will be prepared off-site by outside catering vendors, and the caterer may utilize the prep area that opens to the Reception Room. We also offer a catering package, details may be discussed at your tour.

What happens if it rains?

You may choose to rent a tent in case of inclement weather or if your guest count is 100 or less, we can hold the ceremony in the Reception Room.

How do I purchase event insurance?

We have partnered with The Event Helper to provide a quick and easy way to get insurance coverage for your special event. Please use the following link for event insurance.
